development and application of integrated periodization training program for the korean national female swimmers
ABSTRACT
To create annual integrated periodization training program and apply the program for the Korean National Female Swimmers. Twelve Female (16.75±0.97 years old) players were assigned to an associated swim training and resistance training program 4days per week for 40 weeks. Body composition, anaerobic power, Agility, maximal strength, jump heigh, and the main competition records were measured for the effect the integrated periodization training program. Differences in mean value between times March (3) and September (9) were examined by paired Student's t-test. Three groups results March (3), June (6), and September (9) using one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA). The Bonferroni test was used for post hoc analysis of difference. As a results, during the periodized resistance training elicited significantly increases resulted in significant increases in fat-free mass, anaerobic power; grip strength; sergent jump; basketball throw; standing long jump; one-repetition maximum (1-RM) squat, bench press, power clean, and dead left. Percent body fat and Flexibility decreased significantly decreased after training. Moreover, Korean Female swimming team won three Korean new record at the junior national athletic game (June), seven self record-breaking, These data indicated that integrated periodization training program was enhanced strength and performance in elite swimmer.
