ABSTRACT |
The present research was to investigate the effect of exhaustive exercise and long-term moderate exercise training on splenocyte immunoresponse in mice. Male Balb/c mice (4 weeks, n = 30) were used and randomly divided into 3 groups; Control group (CON, n=10), Exhaustive exercise group (EXH, n=10, 14-28 m/min, 5%, ≒90 min at 16 weeks) and Moderate exercise training group (TRA, n=10, 10-14 m/min, 30-50 min/day, 5 day/week for 16 weeks). After exercise training, all the splenocyte was collected and multiful doses of Con A(Concanavalin A) were used to stimulate the cells. Then, IL-1β, IL-4, IL-12, IFN-γ and cell proliferation were measured by commercial ELISA kits. One-way ANOVA were used and p value under 0.05 was considered as statistical significance. IL-12 production of exhaustive exercise was higher than other groups. However, IL-1β, IL-4, IFN-γ and cell proliferation and were not significantly affected by both exhaustive exercise and a long-term moderate exercise training. In conclusion, exhaustive exercise could enhance to produce IL-12 cytokine(Th1 cytokine) in splenocyte, which help cell-mediated immunity. Further exercise-induced immunocompetence would be different in each immune cells. |
