The change of cardiac function on long term exercise participation in the officers of big company
ABSTRACT
Kim, N.I., Oh, Y.S. The change of cardiac function on long term exercise participation in the officers of big company. Exercise Science, 14(4): 483-494, 2005. The purpose of this study was to investigate the changes of cardiac function on long term exercise participation in the company an officers with men. Subjects were 60 middle aged men with company an officers who were 40~55 years old. We enrolled 30 exercise group subjects into the participated 3 years exercise program. In measurement index, body composition were measured % body fat and BMI. Exercise stress test analysis were measured of ST level, ST/HR slope, QTc interval and QRS vector. Statistical analysis was performed using analysis of repeated ANOVA. Results of this study were as follows; in the rest HR and SBP, control group was increased significantly but exercise group was decreased. In peak ST level, control group was decreased significantly but exercise group was increased. In ST/HR slope, control group was showed ischemia symptoms at the exercise 9min and peak. In the rest and recovery 1min of QTc interval, control group was prolonged but exercise group was decreased. In rest frontal axis of QRS vector, control group was tend to right axis deviation. And, in rest horizontal amplitude of QRS vector, control group was tend to decreased significantly, but exercise group was increased. These findings suggest that the inactivity company an officers was showed decrease of exercise capacity, early diagnosis exercise-induced ST depression, prolonged of QTc interval and deviation of QRS vector but that active company an officers was elevated on the cardiac function by regular exercise program participation.
Key words: Company an officers, Exercise stress ECG, Cardiac function.
