ABSTRACT
Ko, S.K. The Quantity of Aerobic Exercise to Improve the Blood Lipoprotein in Middle aged Woman with Hypertension, Obesity and Diabetes Mellitus. Exercise Science, 11(1): 247-257, 2002. To study the quantity of aerobic exercise to improve the blood lipoprotein in middle aged woman with hypertension, obesity and diabetes mellitus, 151 women who were 40~60 years old were selected. Subjects were divided into 4 groups by diseases that were control, hypertension, obesity and diabetes, and each group was divided into 5 subgroups by the amount of a week exercise in calorie expenditure; Subgroups are Non-exercise, <500kcal, <1000kcal, <1500kcal and ≥1500kcal. Results of this study are following,When the energy expenditure by aerobic exercise increased more than 1500kcal, % body fat, total cholesterol, LDL-C, triglycerides were lower than Non-exercise subgroup. But HDL-C was no significantly different among the subgroups. When the energy expenditure by aerobic exercise increased more than 1500kcal, submaximal oxygen consumption was superior than 0~1000kcal subgroups in the control, hypertension and obesity group.
Key words: aerobic exercise, weekly energy expenditure, blood lipoprotein
