ABSTRACT

The study was designed to compare the body composition, physical fitness, and isokinetic leg strength according to competition level in collegiate and high school taekwondo players. The results of the present study would provide meaningful information on which components of physical fitness they have improve to be a high competition level player and what makes difference between collegiate players and high school players. Four groups of subjects such as high competition level collegiate players(n=8), low competition level collegiate players(n=8), high competition level high school players(n=10), and low competition level high school players(n=11) were volunteered to participate in the study. It was concluded that there were the collegiate players showed superior agility, muscular power, back strength, speed, and isokinetic leg strength than high school players and that high competition level players showed superior agility, muscular power, and abdominal muscular endurance than low competition level players.
