ABSTRACT |
The purpose of this study was to investigate the differences of risk factor of cardiovascular disease and cardiopulmonary function according to smoking and exercise habits. The subjects consists of 4318 adult males, aged between 20 and 69 years. Experimental data were analysed by two-way ANOVA using SPSS. The experimental results from this study are as follows. SBP and DBP in smoking group was significantly higher than non-smoking group. HR in exercise group was significantly lower than non-exercise group. Weight in smoking group was significantly lower than non-smoking group but WHR and %fat in smoking group was significantly higher than non-smoking group. Weight and %fat in exercise group was significantly lower than non-exercise group. HDL-C in smoking group was significantly lower than non-smoking group and LDL-C and TG in smoking group was significantly higher than non-smoking group. Also HDL-C in exercise group was significantly higher than non-exercise group. VO2max, Peak HR, AT and ATHR in smoking group was significantly lower than non-smoking group. Also VO2max and AT in exercise group was significantly higher than non-exercise group but peak HR in exercise group was significantly lower than non-exercise group. These results suggest that smoking and inactivity affect negatively on cardiovascular disease risk factors and cardiopulmonary function. |
