The Effects of Exercise Modalities on the Apolipoprotein A-I, Apolipoprotein B and C-Reactive Protein in Obese High School Girls.
ABSTRACT
The purpose of this study is to clarify the effects on Apo A-I, Apo B and CRP in obese high school girls when the different modalities of exercise programs are implemented for 16 weeks. Thirty one obese high school girls with BMI over 25 kg/㎡ were selected as the subjects and they participated in the exercise program in three groups: aerobic exercise, resistance exercise or combined exercise. After the exercise session, Apo A-I was significantly increased. but, A po B d idn’t make a s ignificant d ifference though i t had a tendency to decrease in all three groups. CRP was significantly d ecreased in aerobic exercise, resistance exercise or combined exercise group. In summary, all three groups showed significant improvement in Apo A-I and CRP. It indicates that the different modalities of exercise programs implemented in this study are of great value as an effective tool for improving the blood vessel system and reducing obesity and inflammation in obese high school girls.
